August 2008

WSAV-TVWSAV-TV went on the air in 1956, initially broadcasting from the radio station facility atop a bank building on Broughton Street in downtown Savannah. WSAV-TV is owned by the Media General Broadcast Group, a multimedia company operating leading newspapers, television stations and online enterprises primarily in the Southeastern United States. United Way thanks WSAV-TV for producing and promoting the United Way's public service campaign.

Brad Moses, General Manager of WSAV-TV, serves at the United Way's Marketing Committee.


July 2008

WTOC-TVWTOC-TV signed on the air February 14, 1954. A CBS affiliate from day one, it became the very first television station in Savannah, Georgia. WTOC is committed to community involvement, televising numerous Savannah and surrounding area community events annually. WTOC-TV produces and promotes the United Way's public service campaign that helps spark awareness and enthusiasm for the United Way.

Craig Harney, Operations Manager of WTOC-TV, serves as the United Way's Marketing Chair.


June 2008

Oglethorpe Speedway Park

Oglethorpe Speedway Park celebrates its 56th Anniversary in 2007. The half mile clay speedway has entertained race fans since March of 1951 when championship motorcycle racing debuted in Savannah. Oglethorpe Speedway hosted the United Way Night at Oglethorpe Speedway Park on Friday, June 6. The event helped generate funds and community awareness for the United Way.


May 2008

Logo: PressworksPressWorks has been a strong community partner for the United Way for the past 3 years. Pressworks generously donated United Way's 2007/2008 Annual Report. The company is also a proud sponsor of the United Way's Walk the Walk 5K.


Aprill 2008

Savannah MallSavannah Mall is a one million square foot shopping mall with over 100 stores that opened in July 1990 in Savannah. Savannah Mall donates the proceeds of the money collected from its fountains in March, April, July and September to the United Way's campaign. The fountains are located on the lower level at Center Court.
