Deborah Jackson dropped out of school at 16-years old, and after a near-death experience has been in long term recovery from drug addiction ever since. Her children have diplomas hanging in her mother’s house, which inspired Deb to earn her own diploma to hang there too.

Deb attends lessons daily at Royce Learning Center in a United Way funded program for adult education. Deb is one of 363 individuals who achieved their educational goal through going back to school through a United Way funded program. She now looks forward to being able to help her granddaughter with her homework.

This opportunity has helped Deb prove to herself that she is capable, that she can become the best version of herself through hard work.

Deb is thankful for the United Way and Royce Learning Center being another family.

You can help more people like Deb achieve their education as adults by giving to United Way.
