Mental Health Wellness for Nonprofits Professionals
Facilitator: Tatiana Cabral Smith, LAPC, Georgia Southern University
January 27th | 12:00-1:00 pm EST via Zoom
Nonprofits often require long hours and sometimes have scarce resources, but the high-pressure environment and deeply important work can trigger or exacerbate mental health conditions like stress, burnout, and compassion fatigue, anxiety and depression. Without organizational awareness and proper supports in place, these conditions can cripple productivity where it is needed most. Please join us in this workshop, where Tatiana Cabral Smith will discuss mental health challenges in the workplace, and how leaders can address them effectively and empathetically.
After this workshop you will be able to:
- Understand the physiological and psychological impact of stress burn out, and compassion fatigue and definitions
- Recognize stress, burn out, and compassion fatigue in yourself, and employees you manage
- Create your own unique strategies/plans for prevention in the form of self-care
- Identify and locate local low-cost resources
You must pre-register to attend. Free & open to the public. Please join us, and share throughout your personal & professional networks!
