What is it?

The Always United Challenge is a creative way for businesses and their customers to give back to our communities during this time of need.

Our 2021 campaign theme of “No Grit No Pearl” has never been more appropriate than for our locally owned and operated businesses. Though the challenges have been profound, local businesses are thriving through ingenuity and hard work, making pearls out of grit. New ways to reach and service customers are emerging as best practices.  One thing for sure, your community needs you now more than ever; your United Way is here to help, and your customers are too!  We encourage all businesses to join us in our effort to service others by engaging customers.

Let’s have fun while doing so!

Put your United Way work hat on!

It’s EASY! Just talk with your team about creating a fun plan to help United Way support communities. Leopold’s Ice Cream, for example, has invented a new sundae for the duration of the campaign, and the sales for that creation are donated to United Way.  Some businesses have created “United Way Days”, donating a percentage of their sales for those days. Others have targeted menu items or specific merchandise to help.  It’s YOUR decision because you know how best to engage your customers.  Just call United Way of the Coastal Empire to let us know what you’re doing so that you can be recognized on social media.

HAVE FUN and CHALLENGE your peers to participate!
And as always, THANK YOU!
