We all need to eat and what’s better than fresh produce? We need your help to get a community garden running at maximum capacity in Effingham! We want to ensure that all members of our community have access to high-quality, fresh foods, and Community Gardens are a great way to achieve that.
As such, we’ll be doing some weeding, painting, and of course, planting so bring your garden clothes and your green thumb! Make sure to wear appropriate shoes, a mask for any close quarters working. We will provide water, but do be mindful of the heat!
- Where: Zion Lutheran Chuch 121 Noel C. Conaway Rd. Guyton, GA 31312
- When: Saturday, June 26th at 9am (we expect the project to last 2 hours)
- What: Planting corn and potatoes (low country boil anyone?) repainting the garden signs
- Who: Anyone interested in gardening and helping out their neighbors!
We hope that after you leave this event, you’ll spread the word about this garden so that it can continue to grow (literally and metaphorically). Community Gardens, like the ones in our backyards, need consistent watching to make sure we can all enjoy the delicious food it will produce!
