Why plan for Legacy Giving?
Legacy Giving is the promise of future support to United Way through a bequest of property, stock, life insurance benefit, or a trust. Donors can contribute to United Way’s Endowment Fund, which will enable us to create an ever-increasing impact in our community.
All donors who commit to a planned gift will be included as members of the Legacy Giving Society.
Your gift is more valuable than the amount.
Herschel V. Jenkins left a legacy of giving. His commitment to our community was evidenced in 1955 when he set aside $500,000 in a trust fund for United Way of the Coastal Empire. His bequest allows almost all of the annual fundraising to directly help people in need.
Our community owes a tremendous debt of gratitude to Herschel V. Jenkins because of his philanthropic foresight.
We invite you to contribute to that same legacy.
