Melanie Willoughby has dedicated her professional life to the healthcare field, and currently holds the position of Director of Health Management at St. Joseph’s Candler Health System, where she has been working 32 years. Her success professionally is undoubtedly because of her passion to helping others. Which makes it even more impressive that in her personal time, she also shows the same commitment to aiding those in our community outside of her reach through St. Joseph’s Candler, by volunteering with United Way.
Melanie first came to volunteer with United Way in 2012 when she began serving as a Community Investments Volunteer. Only two years later, she was appointed to the Community Investments Committee and became Co-Chair of the Health Investment Panel. Melanie has contributed hundreds of hours of her time and talent to the Community Investments team to ensure that the donations are invested wisely for the betterment of our community.
Her leadership has been a priceless gift to United Way, our donors, and those impacted in our community through our agencies’ work.
