Prior to her role at Telfair, Edgar spent over five years as the Director of Education and Programs at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, where she oversaw a broad range of public and educational programming and contributed to a successful $142 million capital campaign. Her earlier roles include positions at the Paint Creek Center for the Arts, Macomb Community College, and the SCAD Museum of Art.

Edgar holds an M.A. in Art History from Savannah College of Art and Design and a B.F.A. in Photography from the College for Creative Studies. In addition to her professional experience, Rana is an active community member, having served on advisory boards, curated art registries, and presented nationally at museum conferences. She also serves as a volunteer professor in the Medical School at Mercer University.

“For generations, United Way has been a cornerstone of positive change in our community, and I am honored to be a part of this incredible and meaningful mission,” said Edgar. “I am looking forward to working alongside the talented United Way team and dedicated volunteers to expand our impact in this special place.”

Edgar officially assumed her new position on April 28, 2025.
