SAVANNAH, GA (Aug. 25, 2025)—United Way of the Coastal Empire announces Tara Nobles has joined its leadership team as Vice President of Marketing and Communications. In this role, Nobles will lead the organization’s strategic communications, storytelling and community engagement efforts.
Nobles brings 20 years of marketing experience across public, private, and nonprofit sectors. She spent more than 12 years in progressive roles at Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia before serving as marketing and public relations manager at the Savannah Convention Center and creative director at Cecilia Russo Marketing. She has taught at Savannah Technical College as an adjunct instructor in the marketing and hospitality departments and most recently served as marketing manager for Colonial Group, Inc.
“Tara’s depth of experience, creativity, and passion for connecting people to meaningful causes makes her an incredible asset to our team,” said Kimberly Waller, president and CEO of United Way of the Coastal Empire. “Her proven ability to inspire action and tell our community’s story will help us expand our reach, strengthen our relationships, and amplify the impact of our mission across the region.”
A graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design with a bachelor of fine arts in media and performing arts, Nobles also earned her master of business administration from the University of Florida Warrington College of Business.
A longtime volunteer and advocate for United Way, Nobles has served on the organization’s board of directors, on the Women Who Rule committee and as chair of the United Way Young Leaders Executive Committee. Her commitment, energy and leadership have already made a lasting impact at United Way.
Nobles officially assumed her new position on Aug. 18, 2025.
