SAVANNAH, GA (July 9, 2024) – The Chatham County Hospital Authority (CCHA) Trust invites nonprofit and for-profit organizations providing preventative health care services to the indigent population in Chatham County, Georgia, to apply for funding through a competitive grant-making process.
United Way of the Coastal Empire (UWCE), as a seasoned community grantor, will administer the CCHA Trust Grant. While United Way will facilitate the grant process, CCHA will retain full decision-making authority.
The purpose of the CCHA Trust Grant is to provide preventative health care services to the indigent population of Chatham County, Georgia.

- Behavioral and mental health services
- Health screenings
- Dental hygiene care
- Specialty care services (e.g. diabetes)
- Patient advocacy and navigational resources
Interested organizations/entities should review eligibility criteria and instructions at uwce.org/ccha-trust-grant and submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) by 5:00 pm EST on July 26, 2024. The LOI process opens July 15, 2024. Applicants will be notified of awards in November 2024.
