SAVANNAH, GA – United Way of the Coastal Empire’s Community Giving Campaign has been a success, thanks in large part to the generous support from leading employers and their staff. Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. remains the top corporate contributor to United Way of the Coastal Empire. In 2023 alone, Gulfstream and its employees pledged an astounding $778,500 to support United Way of the
Coastal Empire’s initiatives locally.

“Gulfstream and the United Way of the Coastal Empire have a long-standing partnership,” said Jeannine Haas, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Gulfstream. “Since 1967, our employees have been demonstrating their support for our community by donating their time and resources to the United Way, and we are proud to support this commitment to the communities where we live and work”.

Gulfstream is not only the largest donor to United Way of the Coastal Empire’s campaign, but their commitment goes beyond financial contributions. Gulfstream’s employees are a strong force of volunteers, embodying the spirit of giving back. The company strongly supports volunteering in many ways to help make our communities better and stronger.

“With employee pledges and steadfast corporate support, Gulfstream is a driving force behind our United Way campaign, setting an incredible example for philanthropy,” says Mandy Parsons, chief financial and operating officer with United Way of the Coastal Empire, who is also serving as interim president and CEO. “We extend our deepest gratitude to Gulfstream for their unwavering dedication and exemplary leadership in both philanthropy and volunteerism. Gulfstream’s impact resonates far and wide, enriching our community in countless ways.”

In 2023, Gulfstream orchestrated many volunteer opportunities, rallying volunteers to dedicate a staggering 4,621 hours to impactful causes. Their efforts translate into an estimated value of over $144,000 in service to the community. Gulfstream’s volunteer presence is felt across various local organizations.

Gulfstream was among the three Chatham County-based companies that rallied with their employees to donate over half a million dollars during the 2023-2024 campaign.

Fundraising is a year-round job for United Way and extends well beyond the fall workplace campaign. The combined totals of the campaign will be presented at the organization’s United in Gratitude event on May 14, 2024, from 4:30 to 6:30 at Service Brewing Company. Learn more at uwce.org.
